But the Fifty Something tour kicked off June 7 in LA, and it felt like something nobody thought they’d see again. Over 500,000 tickets sold across 88 shows. Then Fort Worth happened. The June 24 show was already pushed back due to travel delays from Mexico City. It got rescheduled to July 2. But on June 30, just hours before showtime, the band posted a statement — Geddy had been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. Both the June 30 and July 2 shows were called off. Now rescheduled for July 11 and 13. The band said if they can’t give fans their best, they won’t step on stage at all. After more than 50 years of touring, that’s just how Rush does it.
